On November 5, 2024, the eve of the patronal feast of the Holy Virgin Cathedral in San Francisco, CA, an all-night vigil was served. The service was presided over by His Eminence Kirill, Archbishop of San Francisco and Western America. Concelebrating with him His Grace Theodosy, Bishop of Seattle, and His Grace James, Bishop of Sonora, as well as a host of clergy of the Diocese.

The hymns of vigil were performed by the cathedral choir under the direction of Vladimir Krasovsky and by clergy of the Diocese who sang on kliros.

On November 6, 2024, on the day of the memory of the icon of the Mother of God "Joy of All Who Sorrow" and the patronal feast of Holy Virgin Cathedral in San Francisco, a solemn liturgy was served. The service was led by His Eminence Kirill, Archbishop of San Francisco and Western America, and concelebrated by His Grace Theodosy, Bishop of Seattle, and a host of clergy of the Diocese.

The priestly rank was led by Archimandrite Roman (Krasovsky), Head of the Ecclesiastical Mission of the Russian Church Abroad in the Holy Land.

At the Small Entrance, His Eminence Archbishop Kyrill bestowed liturgical awards to the cleric of the Church of St. Tikhon of Zadonsk, Archpriest John Shtets, with the right to wear a jeweled pectoral cross, to the cleric of the Cathedral of the Icon of the Mother of God "Joy of All Who Sorrow", Priest Yuri Fokin, with the right to wear a kamilavka, and to Nun Ekaterina, Prioress of the Monastery of the Holy Great Martyr Catherine of Sinai in the town of Sonora (California), with the right to wear a pectoral cross.

At the end of the Liturgy, a Cross Procession was held, after which Archbishop Kirill presented Benedictory Tributes to laborers of the Cathedral: Pavel Nikolaevich Lukyanov, Tatyana Petrovna Buick, Evgeny Buick and Matthew Dutrow. A Benedictory Tribute was also presented to the benefactors and artisans of the restoration of the interior dome of the Cathedral.

Through the efforts of the Sisterhood, a festive meal was laid for the clergy and parishioners of the Cathedral.
